MID 128 PSID 109 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Type of fault: FMI 7 FMI Description: • Thermostat blocked closed Fault Condition: • This fault will become active when the Engine Management System (EMS) Module detects that the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor output is high but still with in the acceptable range for the sensor. • The Coolant Temperature Sensor is indicating a high coolant temperature. Possible Symptoms: • Malfunction indicator lamp illuminated Possible Cause: • Thermostat Blocked Closed • Faulty radiator fan • Clogged radiator
