I got a fault code ECU 128 sld 212 fail 004. The scanner says Detroit diesel injector vslop voltage below normal or shorted low. Flash code 46 What are your thoughts ?

V-Slope / U-Slope Codes: If an active code shows injector voltage "failed low" (such as a V-slope or U-slope error), it often points to a weak internal ECM driver, a failing ECM, or a shorted harness.

Internal RTC Battery: A failing internal real-time clock (RTC) backup battery on the ECM board (normally around 3.6V) can drag down system logic and trigger low voltage or no-start codes.

Harness Chafing: Oil intrusion or rubbed wires inside the valve cover or near the 5-pin gray and black ECM connectors can allow nominal voltage through while starving the injector of required operating amperage

Start with batteries and connections. Make sure ecm wire on battery is not corroded

I personally would clean oil off ecm connections. Take them out inspect them, clean them up

Also, I would take out ecm inspect it, replace small battery inside, seal it well.

I think there are shops that inspect ecm, not a bad idea to inspect it as well

Vpod was the issue on this truck. Do not jump on ECU replacement
