Air compressor keeps purging air and not building air

your air dryer heating element has no power or it has failed.

let me guess the temperature is below zero?

the purge valve is a relief valve for protection, it releases air when there is ice in the lines. check power to heating element if there is power replace heating element (cheaper)

I would replace air dryer filter as well if you have not replaced it in more than a year

as a temporary fix to get your day going warm up air line at air dryer (input air line coming from air compressor)

The air dryer was sending back the air to the compressor

air dryer does not send air, the air compressor job is build up the pressure. Was the air dryer blocked with ice?
