Verify DEF level using a ruler Don’t rely on DEF gauge just in case you have a DPF leveler failure. Make sure you have DEF fluid in tank Remove DEF tank cap Remove DEF tank filler neck filter using long nose plier Stick a ruler to inspect level of DEF Make sure you are not empty If empty fill up DEF tank with at least 1 gallon for testing purposes
